Woodwind Instrument Repairs and  Servicing

After your initial enquiry, your instrument will be booked in for a professional inspection. All workshop visits are by pre‑arranged appointment only, ensuring every customer receives dedicated time and attention.

Once your instrument arrives, a thorough assessment is carried out. You will then receive a verbal inspection report, clearly explaining any issues found, recommended repair options, estimated costs, and the expected turnaround time.

Woodwind Servicing – Full Playing Order

Fault‑finding and correction to make the instrument play properly is the service we recommend for most woodwind instruments brought to the workshop. Although many customers request a “service,” instruments typically require general repairs, not routine maintenance. Our full playing order work includes:

•  Straightening keywork

•  Replacing touch corks and felts

•  Replacing up to 3 pads (additional pads are chargeable)

•  Regulation and balancing of the mechanism

If the instrument requires more work than the basic price covers, you will be advised before any additional work is carried out.
