Terms of Business
Payment will be required in full before the instrument can be collected. We can take payments by cash, debit/credit card via PayPal, bank transfer or cheque. We offer a 3 month guarantee on work done as part of the job i.e. it excludes new issues and/or careless/malicious damage. We will inform you at the time if the repair will not restore the instrument to 'as new' or if the instrument will not withstand the work long term. We will also advise you if your instrument is beyond economical repair i.e. the cost of repair will be more that the current value of the instrument.
We prefer you to collect your instrument in person if you can so that you can inspect it, play it and we can make any adjustments then as needed. Alternatively we can arrange for delivery locally or via a courier further afield for an additional charge that includes packing, tracking and insurance.
The pricing on these website pages is a guide of what to expect. Every job is different and we will be able to be much more accurate once we have done an original inspection. We calculate the quote on how long it will take me and any parts or materials we need. If we come across a problem after we start which will increase the price we will check with you before we go ahead.
We will also give you an estimation on how long the repair/service will take. This will depend on how many instruments we are repairing at the time and if we need to order any parts for your instrument that we do not have in stock.
